As their final year unfolded, a shared vision emerged among them—to establish a venture with a dual purpose: to champion the cause of flying disc sports and to inspire a new generation towards a more active and healthy lifestyle.
A Turning Point: Embracing Disc Golf
The year 2010 marked a pivotal moment for the group when Eric Xu, one of the founding members, expanded their horizons by engaging with European disc golfers. This interaction opened new avenues, leading Yikun to delve into disc golf, a move that would significantly elevate the company’s profile.
Yikun wasted no time in making its mark, organizing the inaugural PDGA-sanctioned tournament and developing the first-ever disc golf course in China. These milestones were not only a testament to their dedication but also a bridge to international recognition.
Global Recognition and Growth
Yikun’s commitment to quality and innovation did not go unnoticed. The company earned the distinction of being the first Asian entity to receive endorsements from prestigious organizations such as the PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association), the World Flying Disc Federation, and USA Ultimate.

Offical Partner of WFDF 2019 Asia Oceanic Ultimate and Guts Championships
WFDF 2019 Asia Oceanic Ultimate and Guts Championships holds every four years. The venue setted to be Shanghai this time. It shows the approal of EDFD to China Disc. It is a great competotion upgrading after holding Disc invatational for 21 yeas. The competition will promote disc sports’ development in China and enhance the cooperation and communication between countries and regions. YiKun Disc, as a vital contractor of the competition, help the commitee and support the competition, provide the player better competition enviorment and the spectater better experience.
The first battle of China Team is expectationed. Enterd top four after farioius compete in the mix group, updated the best performance in the international competitions.
British prince Andrew, duke of York visited YiKun frisbee
British prince Andrew, duke of York, British ambassador to China Baina Wu with their delegation visits Yikun Discs on 2nd November and met with two of its founders.
The company founder told the delegation about how he “fell in love” with disc at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, a Sino-British cooperative university. He also introduced the company’s business situation, the disc sport and its future development plans.
Prince Andrew, who is fond of playing golf, has developed a great interest in disc golf. He learned about the development of disc golf, its rules and the characteristics of its products detailly. He said he would watch live disc golf in the future if he has opportunity.
